15 Running Commandments 
  




1 Thou shalt not play basketball or tennis when thou couldst be running.
  2 Thou shalt run before all else on Saturday mornings.
  3 Thou shalt double tie thy laces before thy first step.
  4 Thou shalt prepare abundant excuses to use before running a race.
  5 Thou shalt subscribe to at least two running magazines.
  6 Thou shalt not watch Sunday football without having already logged in a long run.
  7 Thou shalt run in the rain even when thou wouldst rather surf running sites on the Internet.
  8 Thou shalt leave thy smelly shoes on the porch, but only if thy dog does not sleep there.
  9 Thou shalt display thy trophies and awards prominently.
10 Thou shalt not exaggerate thy racing times or distances entered in thy log book.
11 Thou shalt donate thine old running shirts to charity.
12 Thou shalt not eat ice cream when not in strict training.
13 Thou shalt attempt not to pay more than $40 for thy training shoes.
14 Thou shalt pray to Phidippides for the strength to run well and finish strong.
15 Thou shalt get out there now and not waste any more time reading Commandments !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
