Grandfather Mountain Trail Run

The second peak along Grandfather Mountain is MacRae Peak at 5844'. From here the
trail descends almost straight down to the parking lot. It was with considerable surprise

and scrambling up the ladders and over the rocks. While it is dangerous, exercising care

something truly exceptional. It was an absolutely fantastic place to introduce children
to the rigors of climbing higher, however, I truly believe it comes natural to most. There
is a monkey inside each of us somewhere.

stand up straight.
